Amanda Davis-Buie, PhD, LPC, LBS, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor, educator, clinical supervisor, and community leader with more than 20 years of experience dedicated to advancing mental health, equity, and empowerment across diverse communities. She is the Founder and Clinical Supervisor of Strength, Love, and Motivation, LLC, a multi-state counseling and training practice providing culturally responsive mental health services, professional supervision, and community education. Dr. Davis-Buie has authored relationship and faith-based books which can be found on her practice’s website. Through her writing, she extends her clinical and spiritual approach beyond the therapy room. Also, as an adjunct and contributing faculty member at Messiah University and Walden University, Dr. Davis-Buie prepares future counselors through graduate-level instruction, with a strong emphasis on multicultural competence.
In addition, Dr. Davis-Buie has played a vital role in advancing equity and leadership in initiatives such as Taking Action Against Racism, Students Engaged in Listening and Hope, and critical incident stress management for the Pennsylvania State Police. Her work includes training law enforcement in trauma-responsive practices. A committed servant-leader, Dr. Davis-Buie has chaired and served on numerous boards, including the Lebanon County Commission for Women, Mentor-A-Mother, and others. She has also served as an instructor for re-entry programs within the Lebanon County Correctional Facility, supporting individuals transitioning back into the community. Her contributions have been recognized through numerous honors and scholarships, including the Arthur Ashe Award, Black Excellence Awards, and multiple academic distinctions.
Dr. Davis-Buie is passionate about helping individuals find their voice. Through counseling, education, and advocacy, she
continues to create spaces where self-worth and opportunity can thrive.
