Joanne Wendte was born and raised in Philadelphia. In 1966, she and her husband, Fred, moved to Palmyra where they raised their two children. By working closely with the Palmyra Public Library Director, she has a strong knowledge of the library’s financial picture.

In her role with the Palmyra Garden Club, Joanne volunteers to weed and water a flower bed at the library. In addition, Joanne served as Treasurer of Lebanon County’s League of Women Voters. Joanne has spent her life impacting the community by ensuring that all women have their voices heard in the democratic process and that all have access to services and literacy opportunities.
