Tami Kohr | 2026 Hall of Fame Program Bio

Nominated by Kelly Sakel

For over ten years, Tami Kohr has been an asset to many as she serves as a role model promoting healthy lifestyles and fitness while providing healthcare. Her professional education is that of a Licensed Practical Nurse and her natural abilities, along with her life experiences, have afforded her the opportunity to educate herself as well as others. In her position as a full-time nurse at Cedar Crest High School, she shares her gifts without rest taking students individually under her wing whenever the need arises. She also works as a casual call nurse at Cornwall Manor Retirement Community.

Tami is passionate about student/resident well-being and is dedicated to making all students/residents feel safe and secure while tending to their physical and emotional needs. Outside of her employment, Tami has contributed to the community in leadership capacities. She coached with Girls on the Run for ten years. In addition, she had successful involvement with Juvenile Diabetes, organizing teams for fundraising walks and other endeavors.

Tami is currently pursuing ways to serve her community in the areas of addiction and mental health awareness, as she lost her oldest son related to addiction and under-treated mental health concerns. She strives to make a difference in lives of others affected, with the intention of honoring her lost son. Tami always seeks opportunities to help others and goes the extra mile whenever she sees a need. She is truly an unsung hero, working behind the scenes to make a positive impact.
